It’s a wrap!

by pauline on Oct.05, 2009, under blog

Filming for the movie was wrapped in the wee hours of the morning. In fact, I haven’t really slept yet, so it’s been a looooonnnnnggggg day!

I am officially done working on my first feature film in a supporting role.
It will take six to nine months for production and editing to get done with it, so it will be some time after next summer.
I will keep everyone posted on air dates, and I get a copy of my own when it’s all done.

The movie is called, “Money”.

The entire cast & crew have been amazing and it was the most amazing experience that a gal could ask for since it is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this! As a newbie, it’s been an absolute dream – honestly, I am still living in disbelief land, and still asking, “really? Me? Are you sure?”

As far as dreams go, this has been the best one to date. So now, I’ve been paid to sing AND to act.
So, dreams can and do come true.

Even better, I’ve got another part already. It will be pitched for a t.v. series.

In the meantime, I’ll be working on things with Cooper Studios for the Undiscovered Talent Showcase, and likely laying down a track this month as I won some free studio time last month at a networking event!

Thank you everyone for your support & encouragement!
Huge love shout to everyone out there!

Belated Birthday blog…

by pauline on Sep.18, 2009, under blog

Hello Everyone,

I apologize that it has been so quiet on this end.
The first meeting with Shawna-Lynn and Cooper Studios is next week and the Top 6 plus Vanessa Kay will be getting down to the planning of the HMV Christmas show at West Edmonton Mall.
As for me, I’ve been prepping and doing some background work for a movie that started filming the first week of September.
It is certainly something I’m very new to and it so so incredibly exciting to be a part of a movie!!

Yesterday was my birthday – as for how many times around this rock I’ve made it, I’ll leave that for you all to take your guesses! ;)
Being back in E-Town has been quite the change, but a welcome change!

Tonight I’m headed out to celebrate the finale of Dodgeball Season with my team – The Wrench Dodgers! It’s been a lot of fun, and I have determined that I can dodge a ball!

As for an update for Undiscovered Season 2010, Charlie Mrech is already busy with the planning and preparations for the next season!
For anyone who is waiting for the next season, I promise I’ll keep you updated as I get the news.

I am really looking forward to getting back together with the crew from Undiscovered 2009 and looking forward to the shows that we will be putting together for Christmas and also for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Fundraiser.

Thank you everyone for your continued support! So check back for the latest news soon!
Love you guys! <3

Yes We Can @ Canada Place…

by pauline on Jun.16, 2009, under blog

I just got off the phone with Wendy Walker about performing Yes We Can @ Canada Place next week! I get to perform for the government!
How amazing is that!?!
I’m also headed into the studio tomorrow night to lay down a part of the song, Yes We Can for the movie credits of a film.
I get to be on a movie soundtrack! OMG! Okay, I’m a little bit excited about this – can you tell? :D
Even when the road is long and not too friendly, amazing things like this can still happen.
So I’m appreciating every moment, every breath, every note, everything and breathing it all in.

The one thing I’ve learned through it all is that change has to come from the inside first.
So I Am Changing… just like Jennifer Hudson’s song, I AM changing… trying every way I can…. I am changing… I’ll be better than I am…

Here’s to change and the beauty in today!

Undiscovered Edmonton Round 4!!!

by pauline on Jun.12, 2009, under Undiscovered

Okay, WOW! Hard to believe that I actually made it this far.
There are now 25 competitors – and I really have to send love to everyone who has been a part of the competition from the get go, and for everyone that’s still standing!

This week’s song theme is Movie/TV Soundtracks. I’ve had 2 weeks of “good” performances and it’s getting really tough to pick songs.
I’m tossing a few around in the air and seeing which ones will land properly for me.
So far my fave soundtracks have been Austin Powers (all of them), Sound of Music (no yoddling, I promise!), Mamma Mia (dancing queen…), and the entire Disney music collection.
Next Wednesday is going to be smokin’ hot as everyone has gotten some great feedback and are now getting serious about showing their stuff to the judges.
I’ll be pouring through movie soundtracks to find something by Sunday. I’m going to cross my fingers, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, tongue, you name it – this time and direct some of that energy towards making a great song choice and getting my voice back to what I know it can do.
So I’m back to the drawing board and hitting the practice tapes and CD’s for the next while and giving my voice some TLC and L-O-V-E.

I’m so looking forward to hearing everyone next week! Let’s all bring it! :D
